Will Try My Best To Get Noticed By Selectors – Saifuddin 

Bangladesh all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin said on Friday that he is not losing his sleep for not being picked up for the upcoming home series against Sri Lanka.

Saifuddin returned to competitive cricket with the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League and already showed a glimpse of his ability with bat and ball for Fortune Barishal.

“Actually, there are a lot of things to be proven. No reason to be happy just after one or two matches. If I have more chances, If I get a chance to play against the bigger teams, then maybe I will understand how much progress I have made,” Saifuddin told reporters at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on Friday.

“I came back from injury just a few days ago, so maybe there was no plan (with me) for the Sri Lanka series. I hope to play better. Since the Sri Lanka series has been missed, may be considered (me) in the upcoming series before the World Cup. To achieve that goal, I will try to practise with my best and try to get noticed by the selectors,” he said adding that he had already spoken with Tigers across-format skipper Najmul Hossain and feel that he will understand him better than others considering he knows him from his childhood days.  

“Yes, of course. I spoke to him( Najmul) over the phone yesterday. I am very happy because we have been playing at an age level since childhood. We have been playing for Abahani for a long time. He will understand me very well. I have shown many of my best innings in front of him whether it is batting or bowling. InshAllah, I have faith that he will support me to return to the team,” he said.
