I Can Make A Comeback- Shoriful Reveals His Mindset
Durdanto Dhaka’s pace bowler Shoriful Islam said on Wednesday that he is reaping benefit of spot bowling and trying to swing it over there in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League, country’s lone franchise-based T20 tournament.
Shoriful is the highest wicket taker in the ongoing BPL with 13 wickets and played havoc in the tournament with his swinging deliveries, 1.8 degrees to be precise.
“Actually I’ve been working on swinging the ball for the past 5-6 months when I was doing spot bowling and all I was trying was to make sure that the ball swing from the right place (length) and so I feel that the practice gave me success in the match,” Shoriful said after the game to T Sports.
“As a bowler I’ve been successful but I regret it when we fail as a unit. If we had won a few more matches then I would have felt better. At the end of the day if we don’t win games it is not a good feeling. I try to bowl well in every match. I will try to execute the small plans,” he said.
“Obviously I have my plans and I want to keep the plans to myself and I want to stay as fit as possible and that is my target,” he said.
“Maybe one or two matches didn’t go as planned but I have more matches to play and so I always keep the mindset that I can make a comeback and do well and maybe because of that mindset I am being to do well,” he added.
