Saifuddin Relived To Be Back In Business

All-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin said on Wednesday that he is relieved to make a comeback in competitive cricket with the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League, country’s lone franchise-based T20 tournament.

Saifuddin, who picked 1-24 from his four overs, scored 30 from 18 balls though his innings of 166 strike rate could not win the game for his team apart from reducing the margin of the loss.

Saifuddin played his first game in the tournament after battling out with back injury that prevented him from playing the last editions of BPL while if someone wants to find out the pace bowling all-rounder in that case it was in May 2023 in the Dhaka Premier League while he played his last international match in October 2022 against New Zealand

“Alhamdulillah, I did well with the bat ball and fielding and if we could win the game it could have been a different story. Anyway we have matches in the coming days and will try to give my best in all three department of the game,” Saifuddin told T Sports after the match.

“Alhamdulillah I am fine and that is why I am playing. I got NOC from BCB and that is the reason I am playing,” he said.

“I don’t have any regret( for the injury) but I worked really hard for the last nine months, six months to be precise, and I am thankful to BCB for being beside me and along the way I really worked hard and sacrificed a lot. I am happy that I could return well and achieved what I wanted in bowling and batting,” he added.
