BPL Qualifiers, Eliminator Rescheduled
The two qualifiers and one eliminator matches of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024 had been rescheduled by the organisers.
According to the previous fixture, the eliminator and the first qualifier matches were scheduled to be held on 25 February while the second qualifier on 27 February.
But as per the new fixture now, the eliminator and the first qualifier matches will be held on 26 February while the second qualifier on 28 February.
The top two teams of the BPL’s seven-team point table will play the first qualifier. The winners will qualify for the final while the losers will play the second qualifiers against the eliminator winners.
Meanwhile, Comilla Victorians received an injury scare as Mustafizur Rahman was hit by a ball in his head.
The BPL franchise, quoting its physio Zahidul Islam Sazal, further informed in a press release on Sunday that the injury was only external and the pacer was under supervision of the team physio.
The ace pacer was reportedly going back to his bowling mark when a ball hit by Comilla’s Mathew Forde hit the back of Mustafizur’s head.
Later, he had blood spilling from his head, so he was immediately treated with ice on the ground before being stretched off the field to the ambulance.
He was then rushed to a local hospital where scans were done on his head.
