Bangladesh Secures Second Consecutive Victory, Defeating Pakistan by a Margin of 36 Runs in Women’s Tri-nation Series.

The Bangladesh U-19 Women’s team, hosting the Tri-nation U-19 Women’s T20 Series, secured their second consecutive victory by defeating Pakistan by 36 runs in their second match at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar on Saturday.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Bangladesh posted a total of 136 runs for the loss of four wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Captain Sumaiya Akter contributed 32 runs from 24 balls, while Arbin Tani, Sumaiya Suborna, and Rabeya Khan added 31, 24, and 23 runs, respectively.

Anosha Nasir took two wickets for Pakistan. In response, Pakistan managed to score only 100 runs, losing seven wickets in the stipulated 20 overs, with a notable 51-run opening stand. Opener Eyman Fatima top-scored with 39 runs, and another opener, Samiya Afsar, contributed 25 runs as the primary scorers for Pakistan.

Afia Asima Era secured two wickets for Pakistan, while Faria Akter and Rabeya Khan each claimed one wicket.

Subsequently, Rabeya Khan, the national spinner who contributed 23 runs and took one wicket, was named the player of the match. 

On the preceding Wednesday, Bangladesh had an impressive beginning in the Tri-nation Women’s T20 Series, triumphing over Sri Lanka by five wickets at the identical venue.
