You Lose First Six Overs And You Lose All- Babar

Rangpur Riders inform batman Babar Azam said on Saturday that you lose the first six overs you lose the game.

Babar Azam struck his second fifty in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League to help Rangpur Riders clinch their second win in the tournament after they beat Durdanto Dhaka by 79 runs at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

Babar scored 62 off 46 balls while Azmatullah Omarzai struck a blistering 32 off 15 balls to guide Rangpur to 183-8 in their 20 overs after Dhaka sent them to bat first.

“When we are going inside we are just trying to execute powerplay and the way King is playing first two overs and after that I took over and then I just to take the game deep and in the middle over we lost few wickets and then skipper is coning and we are just trying to build a partnership,” Babar said after the game.

“To be honest the pitch is two-paced and my thing is that you need proper cricketing shots few overs and then if you are set than  you will execute but I think first six overs very crucial,” he said.

“You lose first six overs and you lose all matches and we just try first six overs play very well and rest of the overs we are just trying to calculate and after 15 overs we are just trying to smash,” he said adding that their bowlers did a good job.

“I think so( batting get easier because of dew). The dew is too much and I think we appreciate our bowlers as there is too much dew,” he said.
