No Test in SBNS For First Time Since Its Birth
The Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka will not host any game of the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka, Bangladesh Cricket Board announced on Friday.
This will be the first time since the birth of the home of cricket in Mirpur in 2006 when the Test series will be played in Bangladesh but SBNS will not host at least a match.
Sri Lanka will arrive here on the final day of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League final on March 1.
The three T20I (first two night games and last one day game) will be held in Sylhet respectively on 4, 6 and 9 March while the series will be followed by an ODI series, scheduled on 13, 15 and 18 March respectively.
The first two ODIs will be day-night matches while the third game will be a day contest.
The two-match Test series, which is a part of the 2023-25 ICC World Test Championship cycle, will start with the first Test in Sylhet on 22-26 March while the second Test will be held between March 30 and 3 April in Chattogram.
