Fortune Dismisses Fixing Allegation Against Shoaib
Fortune Barishal official said on Friday that they protest against fixing allegation put up against their Pakistani recruit Shoaib Malik in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League, country’s lone franchise-based T20 tournament.
Fortune Barisal in their official Facebook page insisted that all the hype regarding fixing allegation against Malik is wrong.
“Last few days we are hearing a lot about Shoaib Malik. I deeply protest against it and he is a good player and he had given his best for our team and so we don’t want to discuss about it any further,” Mizanur said on Friday in Fortune Barisal official Facebook page.
Shoaib Malik recently sparked a debate after he bowled three no-balls in an over during a match against the Khulna Tigers
Malik found himself in all sorts of trouble as his contract has been reportedly terminated by Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) franchise Fortune Barishal.
Malik travelled to UAE following their last game due to personal reasons while later the franchise confirmed that he will miss the remainder of the season.
The franchise also roped in Malik’s former Pakistan teammate Ahmed Shehzad to replace him in the squad.
Malik sparked a debate after he bowled three no-balls in an over during a match against the Khulna Tigers and reports claimed that Malik’s contract has been terminated due to the same over suspicion of match fixing.
