Sri Lanka T20Is Side Reaches Sylhet
Sri Lanka’s T20 side reached Bangladesh on Thursday to face the hosts in the upcoming three-match T20I series, scheduled to start on 4 March in Sylhet.
The islanders arrived at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 12:00pm (BST) before they left for Sylhet, where they will play all three T20Is of the series.
Sri Lanka’s suspended skipper Wanindu Hasaranga also travelled with the team in Bangladesh although he would not be included for the first two games in the three-match series, in line with his International Cricket Council ban last week.
The three T20I (first two night games and last one day game) will be held in Sylhet respectively on 4, 6 and 9 March.
The series will be followed by an ODI series, scheduled on 13, 15 and 18 March respectively in Chattogram and a two-match Test series, which is also part of the 2023-25 ICC World Test Championship cycle.
The Test series will start with the first match in Sylhet on 22-26 March while the second Test will be held between 30 March and 3 April in Chattogram.
