Chandika Hathurusingha Set To Arrive On February 22

Bangladesh head coach Chandika Hathurusingha is all set to arrive today to prepare his charges ahead of the upcoming home series against Sri Lanka, scheduled from March 4 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

 The series includes three T20 Internationals, three ODIs and two Tests while the series will begin with the shortest format. The second and third T20I are scheduled respectively on March 6 and 9 at SICS. While the first two matches start at 6 PM, the last match will begin at 3 PM.

The three ODIs will be hosted by Chattogram at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on March 13, 15 and 18. The first two ODIs will begin at 2.30 PM and the last one is from 10 AM.

Sylhet thereafter hosted the first Test, from March 22-26 while the series-ending second Test took place in Chattogram from March 30-April 3. Both of the Tests start at 10 AM.

Hathurusingha, who had a good rapport with Minhajul Abedin-lead selection panel, will be dealing with new chief of selection committee Gazi Ashraf Hossain upon his arrival.

It was leant Andre Adams and David Hemp will join him as bowling and batting coach in the national set-up while his assistant coach Nick Pothas is expected to be in-charge of Tigers fielding.

The BCB earlier issued advertisements for different positions including strength and conditioning coach, batting coach, pace bowling coach and analyst for the national cricket team, as well as the national team’s assistant coach for the next two years.
