Noor Joins Victorians, Millers Set To Arrive In Feb 25 For Fortune Barishal

Bangladesh Premier League franchise Comilla Victorians announced on Thursday that Afghanistan spinner Noor Ahmad joined them for the remainder of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

The franchise announced the arrival of the leg-spinner on Thursday in their social media handle.

Noor will bolster the strength of Victorians along with other foreign recruits that includes     West Indies duo Andre Russel and Sunil Narine along with Moeen Ali in the Comilla’s camp. 

Victorians has already confirmed their Super-4 berth attaining 16 points with eight wins in eleven matches.

The young bowler recently featured in the ODI and T20I series against Sri Lanka. He also played for the Super Giants in the SA20 taking 12 wickets in six matches.

Noor has played in 83 T20 matches and taken a total of 88 wickets, including one fifer. He also appeared in the cash-rich franchise league IPL for the Gujarat Titans. 

Meanwhile, South African spinner Keshav Maharaj and English wicketkeeper-batsman Tom Banton, who came to play in the BPL for Fortune Barishal in the ongoing BPL, will not be available due to injuries.

Maharaj returned home due to a finger injury, while Banton is suffering from a shoulder injury. Tom Banton played only one match as he scored 26 runs off 24 balls against Rangpur. On the other hand, Maharaj had the opportunity to play three matches, taking three wickets.

Fortune Barishal announced on Thursday that David Miller will play for them in the ongoing BPL. 

“South African Cricketer David Miller will come to Dhaka on 25 February to play BPL as a Fortune Barishal’s foreign player,” said the franchise in a statement.
