We Can’t Make Mistake Anymore – Saim Ayub

Durdanto Dhaka’s Pakistani cricketer Saim Ayub believe that it his high time for them to pull up their socks as they cannot afford to make mistakes after losing three games in four appearances in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League, country’s lone franchise-based T20 tournament,

Durdanto began their campaign on the right note beating defending champions Comilla Victorians but lost their following that game as the earned three successive losses on a trot.

“It is the right time to get back into rhythm because we played four games and could win only in one game. If we want to take part in the playoffs in that case we need to win and we can’t make mistake anymore,” Saim told Kriknews on Wednesday.

“Both players and management are thinking in this line and the mistakes that we have done before we should not repeat it.

“After 10 overs we were targeting 180 to 190 runs because we were doing good but after two wickets were gone others followed one after another. We must try not to repeat those mistakes,” he said.

“The wicket is slow here and the Bangladeshi players know how to play in this condition.  Foreign players take one or two matches to get adjusted in the previous games you have seen the top order crumbled quickly and so we planned to have a partnership in the top order because in that case our middle order batman will have the confidence and the opening partnership did well but the later order could not take the momentum forward. In the next game we will try to come out of it,” he added.
