We Can Still Make A Comeback – Arafat Sunny
Durdanto Dhaka’s left-arm spinner Arafat Sunny said on Sunday that they can still make a comeback in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League, country’s lone franchise-based T20 tournament, despite being at the bottom of the points table.
Dhaka made a bright start after beating defending champions Comilla Victorians in their opening game of the tournament but somehow lost their ways after losing four matches on a trot.
“Alhamdulillah, I am 100% hopeful about a comeback. Our batters are not being able to click but it is all about the momentum. So it does not really matter if we are at the bottom or top of the points table,” Sunny told Kriknews on Sunday.
“We still have a lot of matches to go.If you see even Rangpur Riders was lower (in the points table) but now they are near the top.So I am not really worried about what the other teams or opponents are doing,” he said.
“Our practice facilities are all 100% alright and just because we are not being able to click that is why we are being criticized but if we win the next match and get some momentum then we are hopeful about making it to the top 4,” he added.
The third phase of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024 will begin at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Tuesday (February 6).
Two matches will be held on the first day – Durdanto Dhaka vs Rangpur Riders and Chattogram Challengers vs Fortune Barishal.
