Tigress To Have Skill Camp Ahead Of Australia Series In Khulna
The Bangladesh national women’s team will complete their preparation for the upcoming series against Australia in two phases in Dhaka and Khulna respectively.
The first phase of the camp, which will be a spin camp, will be held in Mirpur between 28 February and 2 March while the second phase of the camp focusing mainly on fitness and skill will be held between March 4 and 16 will be held in Khulna.
“We will be having camps in Khulna and Dhaka,” a BCB official confirmed to Kriknews on Saturday.
“The camp is Khulna is largely due to the fact we want to have some intense training session ahead of the Australia series and we felt Khulna will suit our purpose in the best possible manner,” he said adding that after the Tigresses will then check in at the team hotel in Dhaka on 17 March ahead of the bilateral series, consisting of three WODIs and three WT20Is.
The Australian national women’s team are expected to arrive in Dhaka on 17 March.
The three-match WODI series is likely to start on 21 March while the WT20I series will end on 4 April.
All the matches of the series will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.
The Australian cricketers are scheduled to arrive on March 17 while the Australian women cricketers taking part in the women’s IPL will arrive on March 18.
