Shakib Joins Sheikh Jamal, Abahani Gets Tawhid
Talismanic all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan officially joined Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited for the upcoming Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, scheduled to start on 9 March.
Shakib along with Yasir Ali, Ripon Mondal and Tipu Sultan joined Sheikh Jamal through an online process during the opening day of the DPL Team Change.
Gazi Group Cricketers, Rupganj Tigers, Gazi Tyres, Partex, Shinepukur and City Club also participated in the opening day of team change.
Cricketers Sabbir Rahman, Anamul Haque and Sunzamul Islam also joined Prime Bank on the day.
Teams like Abahani Limited, Mohammedan SC and Legends of Rupganj are expected to take part in the event today.
National cricketers Shoriful Islam, Tawhid Hridoy and Khaled Ahmed joined Abahani Limited for the upcoming Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League 2023-24 during the second and last day of the players’ transfer in Mirpur on Thursday.
Shoriful played for Prime Bank while Hridoy and Khaled represented Sheikh Jamal and Mohammedan respectively in the previous edition of the DPL.
Among the other players, pacer Hasan Mahmud and top-order batsman Parvez Hossain Emon joined Prime Bank through an online process while the club also roped in Soumya Sarkar, Naeem Islam and Ashikur Rahman for the upcoming session, scheduled to start on 9 March.
Earlier on Wednesday, a total of 75 cricketers changed their clubs for the forthcoming edition of the prestigious 50-over club competition.
