Scenario Will Be Different If Batting Clicks – Gulbadin Naib

Durdanto Dhaka’s Afghanistan recruit Gulbadin Naib said on Sunday that they need to make sure their batters take responsibility in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League, country’s lone franchise-based T20 tournament.

Due to failure of their batting unit despite making a bright start in te BPL by beating defending champions Comilla Victorians in their opening game of the tournament Durdanto is placed at the bottom of the points table after losing the following four games that they played after that morale boosting win.

Our batsman need to take responsibility and that is the key,” Naib told Kriknews on Sunday.

“We have a good bowling attack and if we can just click as a batting unit in that case the whole scenario will be different,” he said.

Durdanto Dhaka completed their practice session at the National Cricket Academy Ground in Mirpur on Sunday, ahead of their sixth Bangladesh Premier League match against Rangpur Riders.

The team started their practice session at 02:00pm and their two-hour long practice session which consisted of ground fielding session and net session was conducted by head coach Khaled Mahmud.

Durdanto Dhaka will feature in all four upcoming BPL match days in the coming week, which will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.

The match against Rangpur will  take place on February 6 at 01:30pm while they will play against Sylhet Strikers, Comilla Victorians and Fortune Barishal respectively on February 7, 9 and 10 (all night matches).
