Rossington, Williams Join Dhaka
English wicketkeeper-batsman Adam Rossington and Zimbabwe all-rounder Sean Williams Durdanto Dhaka in Chattogram on Tuesday ahead of their first match of ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024 fourth phase against Fortune Barishal on Wednesday at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium at 1:30pm (BST).
They have joined the side as replacements of Mohammad Irfan, Andre McCarthy, Lahiru Samarakoon and Lasith Croospulle after these cricketers left for their respective countries after the end of Dhaka phase matches, the franchise informed in a press release.
Rossington, the 30-year-old, has a vast experience of playing more than 150 T20Is and scored 2956 runs at a strike rate of 147.21. He also represented teams like Karachi Kings and Sunrisers Eastern Cape in the franchise-based leagues.
Meanwhile, Williams, who represented Zimbabwe in 14 Tests, 156 ODIs and 79 T20Is, scored more than 6500 international runs and also claimed 152 wickets.
Meanwhile, holders Comilla Victorians will take on Khulna Tigers in the day’s other match at the same venue at 6:30pm (BST).
