Mustafizur Fate To Be Decided On February 23

Comilla Victorians said on Tuesday that Bangladesh paceman Mustafizur Rahman has been moved to Dhaka’s team hotel and is being kept under observation.

“His( Mustafizur) wound is clean and recovering. We will continue dressing for the next 3 days. And then will consult with neurosurgeon again on 23rd February,” team physio Zahidul Islam was quoted as saying in a press release from the franchise.

Mustafizur got hit on the head by a ball during a practice session on Sunday at Chattogram and was hospitalised and later had five stitches on his head.

It is understood that Victorians will consult with the neurosurgeon and later would reveal if Fizz can be available for the BPL’s upcoming games.

Neurosurgeon Dr. Moinuddin Mahmud said that Mustafizur needs to stay away from people.

“It is important for him [Mustafizur] to keep away to not be contaminated by coming into contact with people,” said Mahmud who was treating the left-arm pace bowler after he was struck with the ball.

“The Cephalohematoma in the first CT scan was minimised in the second CT scan. So the second CT scan result is better,” he added.
