I’m Comfortable To Bat At The Top – Afif 

Bangladesh’s batter Afif Hossain said that batting at the top-order helps him to play freely as it helps him to express in the middle.

Table toppers Khulna Tigers extended their winning streak to four out of four matches after they bagged a big all-wicket win over Durdanto Dhaka in their fourth match of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Monday night.

Khulna batters chased the target easily after their bowlers restricted Dhaka to 130-9. 

Khulna skipper Anamul Haque scored an unbeaten 58 off 48 balls while Afif Hossain scored 37 not out to take their team to 131 without any loss in 14.4 overs to confirm their big win. 

Afif, is looking to be in great touch in the tournament, as he is scoring runs regularly batting in the top four.  

“As a batsman I’m always prepared to bat in any position. Definitely, I’m comfortable to bat at the top. I’ve always batted at the top as many seasons as I’ve played in BPL.  I will try to play well for the team,” Afifg told reporters following the win against Durdanto.

“This season, I have batted at number three or four for now. There is no big difference … one or two (positions), but if the position shuffle three or four, then it may make some difference. At ease for now,” he said adding that Khulna Tigers are doing well on the back of combined effort.

“Not only local players, foreigners are also doing well as per the combination, bowlers are also doing well. Bowlers are restricting (opponents) within low runs, batters are also able to play comfortably. Overall, both departments are doing well,” he added.
