If We Knew What It was, We’d Probably Try And Fix It By Now- Ross On Durdanto’s Batting Failure

Durdanto Dhaka’s batsman Alex Ross on Tuesday insisted that they are clueless why they are failing as a batting unit in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League, country’s lone franchise-based T20 tournament.

Shakib Al Hasan helped Rangpur Riders retain the top position in the ongoing BPL as they handed bottom-placed Durdanto Dhaka a massive 60-run defeat during their seventh match in Mirpur on Tuesday.

Rangpur posted 175-4 in 20 overs after they were sent into bat first and later dismissed Dhaka for 115 runs in 18 overs to earn the massive victory.

Meanwhile, with this defeat, Dhaka’s qualification chances for the playoffs suffered a massive blow as they now have lost five consecutive matches and remained at the bottom of the points table with two points from six matches.

“Good question. If we knew what it was, we’d probably try and fix it by now( batting failure),” Ross told reporters after the game.

“We’re battling a little bit with the bat, and I think confidence is a little bit down. When confidence is down, you look for more, maybe than less trying to keep it simple,” he said.

“So, everyone has their own processes about the way they go about it, and hopefully, if you can stick to them for long enough, that’s what experience tells you, you should come good in the long term. So, at the moment we’re just trying to find the recipe and haven’t quite got it right yet,” he added.
