Former Cricketer Habibul Bashar Appointed As Head Of BCB Women’s Department

Habibul Bashar, the former Bangladesh Cricket Team captain and a previous member of the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s (BCB) selection committee, has been named as the head of the BCB’s women’s division. This appointment comes after Bashar’s recent departure from the selection committee. The BCB president announced Bashar’s transition to a new role. Shafiul Alam Chowdhury Nadel, BCB Director and Chair of the Women’s Wing Committee, along with Bangladesh Women’s Captain Nigar Sultana Joty, extended their welcome to Bashar for his new responsibilities on Tuesday.

In conjunction with Bashar’s departure from the selection committee, Gazi Ashraf Hossain Lipu replaced Minhajul Abedin Nannu as the BCB’s chief selector. Additionally, Hannan Sarkar, a former Bangladesh batsman, joins Gazi as a new member of the selection panel.
