Durdanto Dhaka’s left arm spinner Arafat Sunny said on Sunday that they are not worried that they will play four matches on consecutive days in Dhaka in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League. country’s lone franchise-based T20 tournament.
The third phase of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024 will begin at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Tuesday (February 6).
Two matches will be held on the first day – Durdanto Dhaka vs Rangpur Riders and Chattogram Challengers vs Fortune Barishal.
Following Rangpur game Durdant will play against Sylhet Strikers, Comilla Victorians and Fortune Barishal respectively on February 7, 9 and 10 (all night matches).
“Actually the fixture is such maybe we are facing it now but every team is doing so in turns and here the fitness is important,” said Sunny.
This is not much pressure because we have to play on 4 days out of 5.So we have to take proper rest and also do what is necessary to groom our skills.
It can be bowling, gym and however players( want to prepare).Actually all teams are facing this .It is out of our control and actually the fixture of the tournament was formed in such a way and since everyone has to play we will play too,” he said.
“If we think it will be pressure we will feel it and cricket is like that whoever can control the nerves and stay calm and play perform better cricket on the day,” he added.
