BCB To Take Action If Hathurusingha Lowered Image Of Country’s Cricket- Nazmul

Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hasan said that if national head coach Chandika Hathurusingha said anything that lowers the standard of country’s cricket in that case board will take action against him.

Hathurusingha recently took a swipe at BPL during an interview with ESPNCricinfo that raised quite a few eyebrows.  

“Basically when I came to field for the first game I was shown media report of one or two TV channels and they said there are some discussions regarding it( the outburst of Hathurusingha) but before that I did not know anything and didn’t have any clue about it like someone gave an interview and I was busy the whole day because at night it was Shabebarat so did not had any chance,” Nazmul told reporters at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Monday.

 “After seeing that I went to the tennis federation as there was an opening and later I came back again and sat with them and heard about their opinion and I asked them whether they have any recording or print of what he said and they gave it to me. I have to see the whole thing tonight and after talking tomorrow we will sit regarding this matter day after tomorrow as we have a match on that day (Feburayr28),” he said.

“We will come earlier and sit regarding it and later can tell our decision. Exactly what he had said on which question and why we don’t know at the moment but the way it is coming from outside it seems there is no reason to talk in this manner and there is no reason to accept it but exactly what he had said and what is the reason behind it if we can get it over there we can tell specifically what is the reaction of the board,” he said.

“First I will read and later they will read it and we will sit day after tomorrow. If he had said anything that lowers the standard of our cricket and that at any stage whether it is BPL, domestic or age-level or the national team in that case we will take action in this regard,” he added.
