Bangladesh To Host Women’s T20 World Cup In Dhaka And Sylhet
Bangladesh is going to host the forthcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 at two venues in Dhaka and Sylhet.
The tournament is expected to be held from September to October this year, but the schedule and format are yet to be confirmed.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Tuesday informed the media that the official matches will be played in Sylhet and Dhaka while the warm-up matches will be played in Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP).
A total of 10 teams will compete in the meet.
The teams are — top six teams from the previous tournament – Australia, England, India, South Africa, New Zealand, West Indies; ICC Women’s T20I Team Rankings (next highest ranked team) – Pakistan; hosts Bangladesh and two global qualifiers (yet to be confirmed).
