Australia Women’s tour of Bangladesh – Series Recap

2nd ODI – March 24 Australia’s spinners dominated Bangladesh in the second ODI at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, securing a comfortable six-wicket victory. Opting to bat first, Bangladesh struggled against the spin quartet of Sophie Molineux, Alana King, Ashleigh Gardner, and Georgia Wareham. Molineux starred with figures of 3-11, while only Nahida Akter managed to resist with a gritty 22. In reply, Ellyse Perry’s composed unbeaten 35 guided Australia to victory, supported by Gardner’s 20*. Despite a few early wickets, Bangladesh had little to defend.

1st ODI – March 21 In the series opener, Alana King and Annabel Sutherland rescued Australia from a precarious position to set a respectable target. Sutherland’s half-century and King’s quickfire 46* propelled Australia to 213 after a slow start. Sultana Khatun’s early breakthroughs had Australia struggling at 48/4, but Bangladesh’s chase faltered dramatically. Gardner’s three wickets and Bangladesh’s collapse handed Australia a commanding 118-run victory.
